We are working toward our mission with the Yiya AirScience program by providing equitable access to experiential STEM education for ALL children in Uganda. Yiya increases learner competencies, appetite for STEM, and scientific curiosity by removing barriers to learning, especially for children in under-resourced areas. Yiya AirScience provides hands-on, relevant, and interactive remote STEM learning experiences to children and youth, using only radios and basic keypad phones.

We work to develop resilience and creative problem solving in African youth through experiential STEM education. We aim to create the next generation of African innovators and inventors by teaching young people to use the engineering design process to apply science and math topics from school to solve real problems in their local communities.
Our Vision
We envision a world where the 1.3 billion people living in Africa have a seat at the table in innovative fields globally, where African perspectives, knowledge, and skills help create new solutions to the world’s biggest challenges. We envision a future where African technologies drive a powerful African economy that provides productive, fulfilling livelihoods for all its inhabitants.
