Yiya at UNGA Week 2025: Scaling Education for Africa’s Last-Mile Youth

This September, Yiya Solutions is honored to host a special event during UNGA week in New York, bringing together leaders, funders, and innovators committed to expanding educational access.

Our session will spotlight Yiya AirLearning—a lean, scalable EdTech model that delivers interactive STEM and entrepreneurship courses to out-of-school youth across Uganda. Unlike traditional online courses that require internet or smartphones, AirLearning works fully offline through radios and simple keypad phones. Participants will also experience a live radio lesson with students calling in from Uganda, demonstrating the power of this approach in real time.
Beyond our own convening, the Yiya team will also contribute to global conversations at the 𝐌𝐈𝐓 𝐒𝐨𝐥𝐯𝐞 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐞 𝐅𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐬, the 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐚 𝐒𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐭, and𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐥 𝐅𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐲 𝐅𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧’𝐬 𝐒𝐩𝐨𝐭𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐀𝐟𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐚.
